Jet Credit Union was the first credit union in the state of Indiana to go
"Wireless"! Members who have a cellular phone with Internet capabilities,
and are already signed up for home banking, can access their Jet Credit
Union accounts via a cellular phone, thus providing account information
from the palm of a hand.
To find out if your cell phone is "web enabled" visit
and see if the phone you currently own is listed. If so, contact your
cellular provider (Sprint, Nextel, Cellular One, etc) to find out their
charges and to get signed up through them. After you are signed up, you
will need to enter the following website address on your cell phone and
bookmark it after your first successful log in:
To use PC Connections, you need to have an Account with Jet Credit Union
(any account; savings, checking, credit card, CD, etc..). If you do not have an account and wish to see if you are
eligible then go to the Membership Information section. You will also need either
Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. It is recommended that you are using
the 4.0(or greater) version of both browsers. PC Connections will, however, work with both 3.0 versions. If you are unsure
of the version you are currently using go to the help menu and select "About Internet Explorer" or "About
Netscape". If you need to upgrade your browser, you can download them, free of charge, by clicking on the icon of your
choice.
If you already have an account with
Jet Credit Union, please print off and fill out the PC Connections
sign-up form and send it to Jet Credit Union, by mail, fax or
in person. It only takes a few minutes to set you up once we receive your application.
Your account number for PC Connections will be the same as your Jet Credit Union Account
number. The PIN number will be the last 4 digits of the primary account owners Social
Security Number. When you log into PC Connections for the first time, you will need to
change your PIN number.
If you have problems connecting to some web sites or servers, and you use Windows 95, you may need to change the MTUs. You may even experience difficulty retrieving your E-mail.
To get better performance from your system, change the MTUs.
To change the MTU down 1006 follow these instructions:
- Go to "Start" then "Run"
- Enter "Regedit" in the box and run it
- Open LOCAL_MACHINE (open by clicking on the [+])
- Open SYSTEM
- Open CURRENTCONTROLSET
- Open SERVICES
- Open CLASS
- Double click on the actual FOLDER part of the line that says "NETTRANS". A folder named "000n", where "n" represents the number where the DRIVEDESC contains TCP/IP, will appear.
- Click on that folder. The variables should appear on the right of the window.
- Go to EDIT/NEW/STRING VALUE, and type a new one called "MaxMTU" followed by two hits of the "ENTER" key, then type in 1006. You should see a line like: MaxMTU "1006"
- Shutdown and reboot your PC!
Some IndyNet users
that are using Windows '95 may have connection problems
with some servers or have problems viewing some Home
Banking web sites. If you are an IndyNet user and are
experiencing these types of problems, please click
